Desay SV & Qualcomm Deepen Collaboration on Driver Assistance Solutions
During the Shanghai Auto Show, Desay SV and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced deepened collaboration in ADAS, jointly developing a series of driver assistance solutions. The two companies will adopt a “same hardware, two sets of algorithms” business model: using the same hardware equipped with Desay SV's localized algorithms for the Chinese market and Qualcomm's generalized algorithms for international markets. This flexible collaboration framework enables customized product adaptations based on regional regulations and functional requirements.
Desay SV and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. have been working together to launch a series of assisted driver solutions designed to meet the needs of diverse driving scenarios in different regions. One of the key outcomes of this collaboration is ICPS01E, a Cabin-Drive Integration Solution based on the Snapdragon Ride™ Flex SoC (QAM8775P), which has already been deployed by a number of the world's leading automotive brands and is currently being developed in major vehicle models. This solution achieves deep integration of in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and ADAS functionalities, enabling concurrent execution of digital cabin and ADAS workloads on a single SoC, with support for mixed-criticality workload operation across heterogeneous computing resources.
Both parties will continue leveraging Desay SV scalable perception algorithms and Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon® platforms. The solutions aim to deliver region-specific localized features while supporting L1 to L2+ ADAS functionalities, meeting critical regulatory and safety requirements including E-NCAP 5-star safety ratings, GSR 2.0, and UNECE certifications.
Li Lele, Desay SV Executive Vice-President and General Manager of Division Intelligent Driving, stated, “The global popularization and widespread application of driver assistance technologies are an inevitable trend, which aligns with the collaborative direction of Desay SV and Qualcomm Technologies. Desay SV has cutting-edge advantages in system integration, software development, and hardware design, while Qualcomm Technologies leads in chip technology and communication solutions. Together, we will continue to jointly launch innovative and cost-efficient product solutions, promoting driver assistance technologies to benefit global users."
Anshuman Saxena, Vice President of Product Management at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., remarked, "Qualcomm Technologies and Desay SV have a longstanding collaborative partnership. We are honored to extend this cooperation into cabin-drive integration and ADAS. Leveraging both companies' technical expertise in software, hardware, and algorithms, we will jointly empower automakers to achieve high-performance and flexible integrated solutions, ultimately delivering more convenient and intelligent driving experiences to consumers worldwide."
